Dawn Of Eternity Ch.1 by ~Black-rose91:iconBlack-rose91:

Prologue~
The Skies, year 483.

"He has become greedy. Should we not stop him from harming them any further?
I fear we might lose them all otherwise."

"Nonsense. We do need to put an end to this, that is for sure, but you know better than I we are not to directly interfere with our creations. There is only one way to aid them now. We cannot but send them two who will guide them, until we find a way to end Ralesh's kingship. “

"Sol, we’ve never sent our children away, let alone to the world below. We do not even know what the consequences of that may be... We could lose them."

"Luna, I know the risks- but we must remember that those down there are our 'children' too. They need our guidance if they are to survive through the age of darkness that Ralesh has brought upon all worlds."

"-sigh- I know... But if anything were to happen to them- “

"Nothing will. Luna, they are children of the stars, they will be alright. And they will still hear us through their dreams, we will not let them go astray."

"Alright,"
nodded Luna, strands of her long, silver hair falling on Sol's shoulder as she rested her head there.." but we must not let them be together until the time comes. Otherwise it will be far too easy for Ralesh to locate them."

Sol agreed to this, sending their children together would be a great risk. Keeping them apart, however, at least until they were old enough to take on their quest, meant there was a chance for survival.
"We must find someone reliable, one who can keep them safe and hidden from Ralesh's eyes. I shall give them both the appearance of whoever chooses to care for them, but Luna, you must not forget that they must not stay like that for too long…"

Nashira, a lesser star who had been listening to Sol and Luna’s conversation approached them and said to them:
“My Lord, if I may. Me and my sisters would like to aid in any way possible. Please, do send some of us forth along with your children and let us choose for them a home where they’ll be safe.”</>
Sol had not been aware of her presence, but he valued all of Luna’s lesser stars too much to let them go.
“Nashira, how long have you been listening? You are aware that the children we have to send forth to live a full earth-lifetime, they will be born there and they shall live there, but you and your sisters we would have to send as maidens. You may not stay on earth longer than 5 years if you are to keep your life, for staying any longer will cause you to perish.”
Now, Luna had grown very close to Nashira with the passing of time, and she cherished her like her own sister, so she said: “Let them go, Sol. Let a few of them go and care for our children and protect them, for we do not know what dangers may approach them down there. However, Nashira, I wish you to stay with me. Only your daughter you may send if you like, so that, in time, she may befriend my daughter and she might not be alone. For once her secret is known, she will be left alone, and I ask that you send your own child forth, so that none of them may be lonely.”
“My Lady, Luna. I agree to send my child forth, for nothing would pain me more than seeing your child suffer; however, I ask that, just as you will do With Sol’s son you do with mine. Keep the two of them apart until the time her secret is revealed, then they shall meet one another. And I will continue to visit my daughter in her dreams so that she may never forget who she is, so that she may always remember that she must find your daughter when the time comes.” To this, they all agreed. Sol and Luna, and Nashira and all her sisters, the stars, who were standing around. Thus Nashira called forth the most reliable of all her sisters to take on the job of delivering the children on earth, and once they were born she was to use her powers to send them to worlds apart that they may not be discovered by the enemy. And so it was by Sita, the star, by whom the children were taken care of until they reached the two months of age; then she did as she had been told and sent them forth to their new homes, each on a different world, but when the time came for Sita to return to the skies with her sisters, here it was that she was nowhere to be found.

Chapter 1~
Earth, Southeastern Draek Colony, year 500.

It was not so long ago, on a night as stormy as this one, that the Grand Stars sent their children down to earth so that they may help restore the decaying condition of The Worlds. They had grown up distant from each other and who they truly were they did not know, but thanks to the efforts of the families that were chosen by Nashira and Sita, two of Luna’s stars, they had both grown up safely hidden from Ralesh. Now, seventeen years gone past, it is time for them to remember, and so they dream- to uncover what they truly are.

~*~ “Aria… Aria…”
Again that voice, why was that voice always present in her dreams? No matter the setting, nor the time, for she would always be someplace different than the last: Sometimes a forest, others the sea, others she was not even sure where she was. Tonight, she found herself by a lake, late at night.
It was completely dark, save for the light of the moon which shone upon the lake and reflected the shadows of the trees surrounding it; moreover, it was silent, only that voice dared to break the silence every once in a while. It was a gentle, female voice whose whispering seemed to be carried by the wind.
“Aria…”
”Who are you? And my name is not Aria”
answered the seventeen year-old girl sitting by the lake. Even though she’d been having this dream for months already, this was the first time she had dared to answer the voice.
“Aria… Do you not remember, my dear? Tell me then, who are you?”
”I am Nova,”
she answered proudly, “daughter of Shiro and Le’Ara Tyr’Mitore, part of the southeastern clan of Draeks in the Land of Whistling Dragons.”
“Remember      “ came the voice once again, becoming more clear than ever, when a sudden glistening in the dark startled Nova, making her jump up to her feet. Through the woods she saw a creature coming, a creature she could not believe seeing: It was a Wolf, a creature said to exist only in legends, as white as snow and graceful as an Iris blossom. Her deep blue eyes reflected kindness and love, but her voice seemed sad and somewhat disappointed, heartbroken even…
“Remember,” Spoke the she-wolf “Remember who you truly are.”
“Aria, you must remember” whispered the wolf as she turned around and walked away into the forest, Nova did nothing but stare into the shadows of the forest until the wolf’s silhouette melted away into darkness. She had never seen a wolf; she had but heard about them in a few old legends, so how was it that as soon as she saw this creature she knew it was a wolf?  Why should she ‘remember’ who she was? And why is it that the wolf seemed so disappointed of her answer to who she was, so sad, in fact, that Nova herself felt sorry for her.  So many questions did she have, but the night was over already and daylight crept through her room’s window, reaching for her face and forcing her eyes open.

Nova blinks a couple of times to adjust her eyes to the light in her room, then stretches her arms out as she smiles to the new day. However her smile fades away as she remembers the words spoken by the she-wolf in her dream, surely there had to a meaning to all that she’d seen and heard on her dream?   Well, she should not worry too much about that now, today was a very special day, at least for her. Usually, birthdates didn’t mean much in her clan, but somehow, her parents had always told her that her seventeenth birthday would be the most important day of her life. It seemed that her family was the only one to make such a fuss about a child’s seventeenth birthday, since Forêt, her best friend, had turned seventeen a couple of weeks ago and his parents hadn’t given the fact much importance, if any at all. As she looks around her room and breathes in the morning sounds she notices something is amiss, not a single sound to be heard other than a few birds outside the house, and since they lived in a wooden house on a small hilltop, Nova expected thing to be a lot livelier by now- especially since her mom is a very clumsy cook.
Going downstairs to check things out might not have been the best option, but it worked, at least. On the breakfast table she spotted a note, which meant that breakfast was up to her, obviously, but reading the note wouldn’t hurt now, would it?

“'Hello dear, good morning. Dad and I had to rush out this early today, so it'll be up to you to get your little sister ready for school and make sure she gets there in time. Oh, and about that surprise you dad and I've been talking about, just make sure you meet us at the temple straight after you come out the academy today, ok?
Love, mom.”

The temple didn’t exactly sound like the perfect place for a birthday gift, nor did it sound comforting whatsoever- Nova was starting to worry that her parents may be hiding something from her, for ever since she mentioned the dream she’d been having the past couple of weeks, they seemed extremely anxious… Still, she had to hurry and make breakfast and then she’d have to take Keelie to her school, she was SO going to be late now… Cooking wasn’t exactly Nova’s specialty either, seeing as how her mom had been the only teacher she’d ever had, it was surprising whenever she managed to get something decent cooked up, but it’s not like her sister would refuse something as long as it was edible. Speaking of which, Keelie wasn’t one to get up too early, but when Nova got up she wasn’t in their room anymore. If that kid was not ready in time Nova was going to be the one to pay, and Keelie would have but to make some puppy eyes to escape any punishment at all… Why is it that everyone thought her sister was so cute? She was a little monster, and a mind-controlling one at that, she could get anyone to do anything she wanted just by batting those ‘pretty’ eyelashes of hers.

“Nova, you think too much you dummy. I’m hungry, and mom and dad are gone: what are you going to give me? I want something sweet!!” Well, now, this was unusual… Calling her ‘dummy’ was her sister’s way of being nice to her, and when she got up Keelie was already up, too; Could this mean that her parents might’ve told her something about that ‘surprise’ they had mentioned a while ago?

”Alright, I’ll get your breakfast ready soon. Why don’t you pack your stuff meanwhile? Oh, and… Keelie? Did mom and dad tell you anything          ‘special’ this morning?”
“Yeah, but it’s a secret. I can’t tell you~”
Nova recognized the little grin on her sister’s face at once. So that’s how it was, well, she needed answers, anyway.
”Fine… I’ll give you chocolate dessert for breakfast today, but you’ve gotta tell me everything they said, ok?” Keelie nodded happily as she glanced towards the chocolate dessert sitting gloriously on the highest shelf by the dinner table. This kid was plain evil, but nobody knew that except for Nova. Still, she sometimes wished she had Keelie’s ability to get everything she wanted; she was such a sweet talker. It wasn’t uncommon for Keelie to bargain in order to get what she wanted, or in this case, ask for a bribe.
As Nova reached out to get the dessert off the shelf, Keelie’s mouth began to water. She could already savour the dark chocolate melting in her mouth, the sweetness of it making her senses dance...
”There you go. Now will you tell me what’s been going on with mom and dad?” Inquired Nova, but she received no answer as Keelie was too busy devouring the chocolate dessert. ”Fine, I’ll go get ready for school, you better be ready to talk when I come back.”
Keelie glanced up at her sister as she headed up the stairs and towards their room, she felt a sudden pain in her stomach as she remembered the words of her parents that morning. ’Keelie, what we’ve just told you is a very important thing, and we need you to keep this secret from Nova right now, ok? We will tell her today in the afternoon when she comes to the temple… But please, remember dear, you can’t tell her anything at all.’ … Why had she forgotten that she’d promised her parents to keep quiet? And all because of the temptation of chocolate dessert, it didn’t even look very appetizing now.
”So,” shouted Nova as she came rushing down the stairs, “You’re going to tell me, or what?  … well, that’s a rare sight, I thought you’d have finished that by now”
“Nova… I forgot… I forgot to tell you that I have a test today, and I really need to get to school early”
”What do you mean, ‘early’?”
“Early as in, right now… Can we hurry there?”
”Wha-? Keelie!! You should have told me you have a test! Augh! Now we have no choice but to ride Selene to school, dad’s gonna kill me for that, you know?”

Keelie tried to hide her smile as she told Nova how sorry she was for not telling her earlier. However, Nova had panicked, and that was what she’d been aiming for: Now her sister wouldn’t be thinking about the secret Keelie had promised to tell, she would be too worried over the fact that they would have to ride Selene, the family dragoness, to school without her parent’s permission. Nova had already hurried off to the stables to get Selene ready; now all that was left was hope that she might be able to ride Selene without getting thrown off the chair for lack of concentration. Nova and Selene got along quite well, since they’d known each other since they were both babies, but riding a dragon was no easy task, and if Nova got distracted they could end up lying on the floor with at least a broken arm and a lot of trouble.
Outside, she could hear Selene’s wings extending against the wind already as she prepared to fly, so Keelie ran back to the kitchen and grabbed her schoolbag.

Nova landed close to Keelie’s school and told her to hurry to class already.
”Good luck on your test, Keelie.” She said as she waved goodbye to her little sister; yes, she was a nuisance some times, but… She was also cute every once in a while, and she was still her sister.
“Bye, Nova! … Nova, I’m… I’m really glad we’re sisters”
That was the first time Keelie had ever said something like that to her, and it intrigued her, but… it also made her smile. Yes, she was also glad they were sisters.
Selene stretched her wings and lied down, startling Nova and throwing her off balance; clinging to the reins she laughed as she remembered that she still had to get to her own school in time.
”C’mon Selene, this is no time to lie down. You know Mr. Xan will kill me if I’m late again- Let’s go!”
As they took off Nova could feel the wind brushing against her cheeks, and her hair dancing along with the winds, and she wondered why this sensation felt so… familiar.

As she landed on her school grounds and entered the stables she heard a familiar voice greeting her.
“Yo, Nova! How you doin’ girl? I see you’ve brought Selene along with you today! Long time no see, Sel…” It was Forêt, her childhood friend. His family owned most of the stables and Dragons in the land, and it had been him who’d taught her how to ride a dragon in the first place, so you could say he knew Selene pretty well, too.
”Hey Forêt… I’m ok, I guess. I had to ride her today because Keelie was gonna run late for her school test and my parents are out, so… I kinda had no choice; think you can help me find a spare rope to tie her?”
“Sure thing, man: Sel is gonna get special treatment, how about we let stay out on fields today? You know she won’t run away, we’ve trained her well enough. Besides, you and I both know how much she hates staying inside on days like this. What do ya say?”
He did have a point, Sel wasn’t one who liked to say locked inside the stables on days as sunny as this one. Last time they tried to keep her inside like that, she’d managed to break the ropes (not only hers, she actually managed to free every dragon in the stables) and broke through the doors onto the fields. Nova couldn’t believe it, but when her dad found out that he would actually have to pay for all the damages he was so mad he might have given up on raising a dragon- if it hadn’t been for the fact that Forêt offered to train her for free and even helped re-build the stables Sel had destroyed. Unlike most of the Dragons on the land, Selene hadn’t been born in one of the breeding camps owned by Forêt’s family, it seemed that Nova’s father had found the egg in the forest at around  the same time Nova had been born, and decided to keep it. Forêt had always said there was something different about this dragon, not only because she looked much more graceful and thinner that the usual dragonesses, but he said she had a completely different aura, almost like she didn’t believe she was a dragon.
”Heh. Yeah, why not? I think she deserves a day out, and we’d better hurry up and get to class. I can’t have another tardy or I’ll get suspended.”
“Yo, Nova, can I ask you something?”
”What?”
she answered, surprised at the fact that Forêt had actually asked for permission before saying anything; he was the kind who would rather ask forgiveness than permission, so she wondered what might have been troubling him.
“Ah... How come you didn’t bring your bag? You know, we have to hand that paper in today.”
Right. So maybe there was nothing troubling him, but… Paper?
”What paper, what are you talking about?”
“Hack. You’re kiddin’ me right? You know, that ‘oh, so important’ report that we were assigned before vacation started. … You’ve no idea what I’m talking bout, aye?”
”Ah…”
Nova’s response said it all; she had absolutely no clue about what he meant.
“Figures. –sigh- Before vacation started, Mr. Xan gave us an assignment, like he always does before the holidays, and said that it was very, very important that we worked on it all that we could. We were supposed to research the legends of ancient times and write a full report on whatever we found… I think… Yours was the one about Sol and Luna and the creation of The Worlds… or was it- Nova?”
Nova’s hand had already flown straight up to her mouth, impossible- she had forgotten all about that report, even though Mr. Xanareth had spent hours reminding her how important it was for her to finish this… She’d spent all summer vacation helping her mom out at the store or pondering on the dreams she’d been having- perhaps daydreaming is a more accurate term of what she’d been doing for the past couple of weeks. Forêt ended up dragging her to the classroom and reassuring her that the worst that could happen was that’d shed get a one-day suspension, still, he made sure to remind her that had she arrived a little bit earlier they might have been able to go to the school library and get the report done.

By the time the class bell rang, Nova was already hiding behind her desk, hoping that Mr. Xan would have called in sick and they would be getting a substitute teacher for the day. Her hopes shattered as she saw him walk into the classroom, his hand on his beard and his claws scratching the cover of the books in his hands; he looked around the classroom and glared at Nova as soon as his eyes met hers.
“Good Morning, class. I hope you did well during the summer holidays? Miss Tyr’Mitore, is there any specific reason why must be hiding behind that book? I do believe you lack the ability to disappear behind objects such as those.”
As the class giggled, Nova couldn’t help but blush. Surely Mr. Xan did not have to expose her like that? He enjoyed thrusting the students into the spotlight at any chance he could; he was a very good teacher though, which is why most of his students never failed a single subject, so everyone had learned to love him strict as he was.
Nova opened her mouth to answer, but nothing came out. Instead she just lowered her head and fixed her gaze on the floor tiles, hoping that he wouldn’t ask for the papers, but she knew this was pointless. Of all people, Mr. Xanareth would never forget an assignment.
“I see. Well then, please hand me your holiday reports along with any books you may haven out of the school library for reference and do not dare to hand me something that has no cover, name or bibliography. … Tyr’Mitore. Why are you the only one in the class who has not handed anything in?”
Nova took a deep breath before standing up and gathering enough courage to speak
”I… I forgot about the assignment, sir. I was worried about some stuff and-“
“It was because of you that I had this task assigned to the class, Tyr’Mitore… Do you not have any idea of the importance of this?! I needed you to understand the legend! –Sigh- Never mind, I’m sorry. Nova, you’ll spend the rest of the day in the library, make you gather all the information related to Sol and Luna and Caladmont Lake that you can, please. The rest of you, you will be working in groups today. So, find everyone who had the same legend as you assigned and discuss what you found about them.”

He handed her a library pass, and then turned his attention back the class as he signaled the door to Nova. ‘Great,’ she thought ‘now I get to spend an entire morning stuck in the library. Thank God today is a short day.’  She walked through the school halls as slowly as she could, trying to postpone the fact that she would have to do the assignment soon. The halls were all empty, most of the students were in class already and there was no one to be seen save for the occasional student on her way to the girl’s room; Nova’s thoughts wandered off as she paced her way around the halls. It was almost midday, she had but an hour left to go to the library and finish that report, how could she loose herself in her own thoughts for that long? She’d wasted 3 hours, for goodness sake. She bit her lower lip as she thought about what would happen if she didn’t finish that report, and then ran towards the library.
As she opened the large wooden doors of the library, the creaking sound made everyone in the library lift their gaze from their books and stare at her for a few seconds. Nova stepped shyly through the main library hall and looked around her: the library was huge. It was said to be one of the oldest buildings in the school, it would easily take her hours just to find the books she needed. She sighed and started to wonder how on earth she was to finish this off before…
“Excuse me, are you all right dear? Might you need any help finding anything?”
”-Gasp- who?”
“Oh, I’m sorry I’ve startled you darling… I’m Miss Claire, the school’s librarian. I saw you kind of lost here in the hall, so I thought maybe you needed some help locating a book.”

Nova was relieved to hear, not only that the school’s librarian was willing to help her, but also that she was such a nice lady. Trying to recover her breath, Nova managed to ask the lady if she could help her find some information on the legend she had been assigned by Mr. Xanareth. After showing Miss Claire her library pass, she agreed to help look for all the books related to the legend.
”Thanks, Miss. I really appreciate this.”
“It’s ok, dear. Now, if Mr. Xan sent you, he must be expecting a complete report, I hope you don’t mind staying here after school- there is a lot to read about the Twins.”
”The… twins? Ah, um… actually, I can’t stay after school today… Is there any chance I could choose a few books and take them home for the day?”

Why must she deal with things such as these on the very same day that her parents had asked her to go to the temple?? Miss Claire smiled tenderly as she nodded gently and said ‘ok’ before heading to the halls at the very back of the library.
After a few minutes she came back with a stack of books on her arms, ten books, at least.
“Here you go. These are all the ones I have about what you need. Now, let’s sort them out and see which ones are useful to you and which ones aren’t.”
It took about three minutes to decide which books to keep, but in the end Nova decided to keep just two of them. One seemed to be a very old book, its red cover filled with dust and its pages yellowed by the passing time. The second book did not have much to do with the legend itself, but it had very detailed descriptions of the ancient times, including the species and the creation of the worlds. It also had some rough sketches, and Nova thought she’d caught a glimpse of a wolf, as she turned through its pages.
She thanked Miss Claire and was about to open the first book when he saw Forêt opening the library doors. She stood up and waved to him, and he hurried over to where she was sitting with her schoolbag on his arms.
”Forêt? How did you?”
” I managed to escape during lunch break and rode Selene back to your house, I hope you don’t mind. I thought you’d need this –wink-“
”Thanks, you’re a good friend For”

Nova hugged him and smiled softly. That was the kind of friend he was, one who’d do anything to help the ones he cared about.
”No prob,” he said, trying not to blush; a faint slime on his face.
“So, how are you doing? Made any progress?”
”Actually, I was just about to start… Oh, but I’m taking these two books home with me, so don’t worry. I will be able to finish.” Nova handed him a chocolate bar from her schoolbag, she was one who’d never leave her house without a snack on hand, and Forêt deserved at least that for helping her. Mr. Xanareth had let the class leave early today, so Forêt had decided to keep her company while she worked on her report.
“I’d suggest reading the legend itself first, you know? Here. It should be in this rusty ol’ book.” Said Forêt as he handed her the book in the table and leaned back on his chair, the chocolate she’d given him still in his hands.
Nova opened the book and blew away the dust covering its old, yellowed pages. Her finger drifted through the words in the contents page until it finally came to a stop right on the page where the legend and the prophecy should be. As she began reading, Forêt noticed her expression turning to one of fear and disbelief. He asked if she was alright, but he got no answer whatsoever, it was like she was in a different place and he couldn’t reach out to her. He feared that if he tried to take the book off her hands, he might hurt her, a feeling of helplessness invaded him as he realized he could do nothing but sit there and watch, waiting for Nova to regain her senses. He stood up and walked behind her, then hugged her from behind; he hoped that perhaps this would help her come back. He knew nothing of her dreams, which is why when he read the legend he found nothing strange about it:

“  "In the times when all worlds were at peace and did not know of each other, shortly after the two Grand stars Sol and Luna had created them, it is said that
somewhere, in a certain world a young warrior discovered the secret to travel between worlds.
He was young and adventurous at the time, and so he went, from one world to the other, acquiring more and more power and knowledge as he did so.
As he gained more power and learned to use the various techniques he learnt throughout his voyages, darkness wormed its way into his heart and he grew vain.
At first, he would not notice, for darkness has a way of engulfing us in a way so discrete it is barely noticeable; and so he still shared his knowledge with others, allowing them to know of the existence of the other worlds, and helping all cultures grow. He came to known among many worlds as 'Ralesh the Great.’
-*-
Then came times when Ralesh the Great felt lonely, even when surrounded by many who would praise him. The darkness in his heart still hiding, waiting for the moment when it could take over him, would never rest- it was always vigilant, observing his heart.
In his loneliness he decided to keep traveling, and so he did until one day he came across the world of Vampires. (When Sol and Luna had created The Worlds, they had each decided to keep one which would be special to them, one which they would cherish more than others and in which the creatures created could be like children to them. Sol had created the human race; on the surface of the planet Myth’Enrae he created them, while Luna cared for the Vampires and wolves on Gaia’s surface. –refer to page 257) When Ralesh landed upon Gaia’s valleys, he found the land to be very prosperous, flourishing with knowledge already- but it was not the land that captured his heart. It was a maiden from that very land: She was a few years younger than him, yet when Ralesh saw her standing by the sea, her long black hair falling on her shoulders, he fell in love. Ralesh the Great had fallen in love with a vampiress.

Though she was still quite young, she had a kind heart, and Ralesh decided to stay in this planet with her. At the time he met her, he never wanted to leave her side, he thought he had everything, and wished for nothing more, until one day he discovered the dreadful truth. She had fallen in love with another man, one of her own kind.
As soon as he found out, anger and hate stirred in his heart, along with the desire to kill the other one, the vampire that had stolen his lover’s heart. It was in this time, that the darkness in his heart saw a perfect opportunity to finally take over his heart. However, Ralesh’s will was strong, and he could not bring himself to do it. He loved her, and he always would, he lacked the courage to take something, anything from that girl. He did not want to hurt her, so he escaped back to his home world. Here, the people received him as a hero, unaware that the darkness in his heart was consuming him already, devouring the kind man he once was until all that was left was a man with a thirst for blood and power- one who did not care for the well being of the people.
At the very moment of his arrival, Ralesh was established as the Supreme General of the royal army. He had become the king’s right hand, but it did not take long for his dark heart to desire more power than he already had, he had already lost his will, and Ralesh had succumbed to the darkness. He rebelled against the king, and making use of his vast powers, there was none who could stand against him; he has lost his heart, his kindness, and had now become but a heartless tyrant, a monster who ruled the world without mercy nor compassion. The World was submerged into and age of cruelty and destruction, where those who dared defy him would suffer a painful death.

When the two Grand Stars came to see what had occurred, they decided to put and end to this. Sol and Luna spread a prophecy across all worlds. For the first time since the very creation of The Worlds, they were to send their own children down to the planets. Their identities were to be kept hidden, safeguarded from Ralesh’s underlings and his expanding army of Shadow Spies………………..
-”

”Hn…”
“Nova, Nova! Are you alright?”
Now that Nova was regaining consciousness, Forêt could relax a bit, but he was still worried about what had happened to her. He was always worrying about her, he was always there for her, but he knew- he felt something was different about her. He had always had the feeling that no matter how close they seemed to be, there was an unimaginably large gap between them.

When Nova finally managed to open her eyes, she found herself in Forêt’s lap, and she could feel her cheeks growing red by the second- but a sudden thought made her come back to reality.
”The temple, I have to go!” She shouted as she jumped off Forêt’s lap, stuffed the books into her bag and ran towards the stables. She had to get there, no matter what.

Yay! At last! The first Chapter of Dawn of Eternity is here *dances happily*

Random
I was only able to post the story in my Myspace and here, since Livejournal and my Live Space refused to post it because 'the entry had too much text' -_-

Anyway, yes. If any of you ever got to read that crappy story I was posting here a while ago ("Legend of the chosen Twins") You might recognize the storyline, however this is the 'new and improved' version. I have a much clearer vision of the characters and plot and all sorts of details... I still can't bring myself around to draw+wirte an appropriate character sheet for each one of them, lol. But I will, soon. And yes, I changed the title, why? Because the other one SUCKED, that's why.

About the Story

^^ Allrighty then, I'm no good at summarizing stuff, but I'll give it a try.
Dawn of Eternity is a Fantasy story (With my own dosis of Romance, action and more Romance- and some comedy, of course ;D).
In the beggining Sol and Luna, the two Grand Stars, created The Worlds, different planets and universes interlinked by the fine strands of space and time. When a human discovers the secret to travel between the worlds and, in time, is consumed by darkness- leading all the worlds into and age of despair with the help of his newly acquired powers and minions. Now, it is up to Aria and her Twin brother, the children of the two Grand stars, to put an end to this. But seeing as both of them seem to have their own share of troubles, will they be able to make it? And... Will they be able to put up with their companions, and themselves, for as long as this journey takes?

About the Characters
There are LOTS of characters involved in this story, and I plan on following them each up close, so that you all get to know the character- inside and out. However, I will only talk about Characters as they appear, so I don't spoil the story for you guys ^^.

:bulletblue: Sol-> Sol (Sun, in Spanish) Is the First Grand Star. Master of light and fire, he watches over the worlds during the daytime.
:bulletblue: Luna (Moon, in Spanish) is the Ssecond Grand Star. Mistress of the water and sister of the shadows, she cares for the worlds at night. She is much more protective of her children than Sol is, and tends to be somewhat partial in matter that involve either her daughter or her Beloved Species, the Vampires and Wolves.
:bulletblue: Nashira is Luna's 'best friend' as it were. Always there for her, and willing to risk her life for the happiness and well-being of her mistress. Nashira is one benevolent star, as well, but very wise, nonetheless.
:bulletblue: Nova is a 17 year old Draek, a species which looks somewhat like dragons-humans. They do, however posses full control of the actual Dragons, they are much like... Horses to them.
:bulletblue: Forêt, is Nova's best friend. He is a 17 year old Draek, son- and heir, of the owner of the most prestigious Dragon-breeding firm ever to exist. He is, however, very modest and loves to help others.
:bulletblue: Selene (AKA) Sel. Nova's family Dragoness, she has been like a pet, and friend to Nova ever since she was born. Although unknown at this point, Sel has a pretty important role in the story. And she loves chocolate, just saying.

The intial portion is an excellent concept. The chapter dragged a bit and Ifound myself hurrying over the many details. Perhaps if it were shortened ...edited down, as it were? Thanks for sharing.
